CLAY MATTHEWS converted to Catholicism in 1990 and has been busy cooking up hollow secular analogies for his faith ever since.

Clay lives in an innocuous suburb outside of Detroit with his wife of twenty-one years and their three children (they tried for ten, but things are what they are...). Despite a hectic schedule, he has found time to pen a "Pop Culture" series of web musings about the Faith and popular culture for Catholic Journal.

Mr. Matthews holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from Central Michigan University and works as a public relations and communications professional. He looks nothing like the avatar on the left of this page.
