SISTER ANGELITA FENKER, SFCC, has been involved in education at all levels for over sixty years, serving as a teacher, principal, diocesan superintendent, professor, and parish pastoral associate.
A long-time author and speaker, she has been published in countless newspapers, ministry publications, magazines, and has been featured on radio and PBS television. Since 1974, in both the United States and Canada, Sister Angelita has conducted retreats, missions, and days of prayer in parishes, schools, on military bases, in prisons, nursing homes, and independent living residences. For sixteen years, she was International Associate Director of Families for Prayer, based in Albany, New York. In addition, she has served on the U.S. Bishops' Committee for Marriage and Family and has been a member of the National Association of Catholic Family Life Ministers. In 1976, she was a speaker at the 41st International Eucharistic Congress.
She holds a B.S. in Education from the University of St. Francis, an M.A. in Educational Administration from Marquette University, and a Doctor of Ministry in Spirituality from the Graduate Theological Foundation in South Bend, Indiana, which operates in consociation with Oxford, England.
Her most recent book, Parables and Ponderings: Christ-Centered Reflections for Maturing Adults, was published in April 2010.
