We Wuz Robbed

Jack Sharkey (1902-1994)

I have been to a few weddings in St. Louis years ago where Bob Kuban’s band was the featured entertainment. Kuban was best known for his 1966 #12 pop hit, The Cheater. After the 2020 election and its unsettling aftermath, I cannot help but believe it could be the anthem for the 2024 election and the millions of Trump voters who were arguably disenfranchised in the last election.

Though virtually all pundits, courts and politicians ignored or dismissed the tons of tangible evidence that emanated out of the waning hours of the electoral process, they more than likely did it because they feared a larger, more destructive reoccurrence of the violent unrest that plagued the country during the pandemic Summer of 2020.

However, no one should be surprised that politicians and their parties would conspire to steal elections. I would wager that 100s if not 1000s of elections are stolen over the course of each new era, as cheating is endemic to the human soul, as an unsavory facet of that twisted timber we call human nature. Our Founding Fathers knew this and that is why they instituted several devices such as the Electoral College and separation of powers to temper our worst instincts. Perhaps that is why liberals want to eliminate such safeguards.

With this in mind, one should not find it difficult to accept that over the course of our history, elections have been stolen on all levels of our democracy. Lyndon Johnson comes to mind for his narrow election to the Senate in 1948 that had more accusations than voters. After losing a close election in 1941, Johnson cried voter fraud. Seven years later, he ran for the United States Senate. On election night, Sept. 2nd in the Democrat Primary runoff against former Texas Governor Coke Stevenson, it appeared LBJ had lost again.

Mysteriously a box of uncounted ballots was discovered in the south Texas town of Alice in Jim Wells County, Precinct 13. Confusion reigned in Texas and by the end of the week, Johnson had won by 87 votes. Both sides accused the other of voter fraud. Does this not sound familiar?

Our recent election has not been the first presidential election where the consensus points dramatically to election fraud. The two most egregious examples are the elections of 1876 and 1960. While both the elections of 2000 and 2016 were called fraudulent by the Democratic candidates, they pale in comparison with the other two.

The 1876 election to replace Republican President Ulysses S. Grant, who declined a bid for a historic third term, pitted Republican nominee Rutherford B. Hayes against Democrat Samuel J. Tilden. With the aftermath of the Civil War as a backdrop, it became one of the most contentious post-elections in American history. It quickly gave rise to the infamous Compromise of 1877 by which the Democrats conceded the election to Hayes, in return for an end to the punitive era of Reconstruction and with it, the immediate withdrawal of federal troops from their post-bellum occupation of the South.

Although it is not disputed that Tilden outpolled Hayes in the popular vote, after a first count of votes, Tilden had won 184 electoral votes to Hayes’s 165, with 20 votes from four states unresolved. In Florida, Louisiana, and South Carolina, each party reported its candidate had won the state, while in Oregon, one elector was replaced after being declared illegal for being an elected or appointed official. The question of who should have been awarded these electoral votes is the source of the continued controversy.

An informal deal was struck to resolve the dispute, more than likely in some smoke-filled room to the mutual advantage of each side. The Republicans kept the presidency that Tilden had rightfully won from all appearances and the South effected the removal of thousands of federal troops who had rubbed their faces in the post-bellum dirt of the Reconstruction era. The only losers in this corrupt bargain were the newly freed slaves who were reduced to an even worse condition than before the war, with periodic lynching and the nefarious Jim Crow laws which ruled the South for the next 90 years.

Consequently, all 20 electoral votes were added to Hayes’ total bringing his final tally to 185 with Tilden frozen on 184. The Republicans left the blacks to suffer the Southerners’ wrath and cry for revenge for, not only the war years of war but also from the exalted position the North had placed their freed slaves. For example, in 1870 the black minister, Hiram Revels sat in the Senate seat, previously occupied by erstwhile Confederate President, Jefferson Davis. This was considered a sacrilege against Southern honor.

Many books have been written on the famous 1960 election whereby JFK won by 113,000 votes out of 68 million ballots cast. The majority of the questions raised had to do with the Chicago Mafia and especially the corrupt political machine of Mayor Richard Daly. The election steal revolved around how ballots were distributed, collected and counted. This reminded me of a cynical aphorism, my neighbor, a professor at St. Louis University School of Urbanology made to me in 1969. He was a native Chicagoan and a doctrinaire Democrat, who was very familiar with Cook County politics. To paraphrase him he justified the overt election fraud in Chicago because we had to cheat to offset the cheating the Republicans do in downstate Illinois.

While a myriad of historical theories abound, it is not hard to believe that Illinois’ 24 electoral votes, when coupled with Texas’ 27 electoral votes, virtually guaranteed because of the Johnson election machine, provided Kennedy just the edge he needed to defeat Nixon.

Since all this is history, which in many ways is very subjective, it is often very difficult to conclusively prove that an election was purloined. But given my understanding of our twisted human nature, when added to the lust for power that has dominated politics for millennia, I believe it happened. The Democratic Party realized that even though Al Smith had lost the 1928 election, his success in all the country’s 10 largest metropolitan areas was where their political future lay; they also realized it was much easier to cheat in large urban areas.

Due to its proximity to current events and not historical debate, it is much more difficult to ascertain the truth on what happened on the evening and morning hours of November 3rd and 4th of 2020. Whatever happened altered the history of this country in ways that can only be imagined in our darkest nightmares. To try to paint a realistic and coherent pattern of what more than likely happened, no matter what the truth-deniers in the mainstream media may say or think, it is best to start with the Carter Commission of 2005. Former President Jimmy Carter and former Secretary of State James A. Baker III were the co-chairmen of the non-partisan 2005 Commission on Federal Election Reform. It provided 87 recommendations in its 91-page report. A major point was the commission’s call for nonpartisan professional and state oversight over elections.

The Commission noted among its many findings and recommendations that because it takes place outside the regulated environment of local polling locations, voting by mail creates increased logistical challenges and the potential for voter fraud, especially if safeguards are lacking or when candidates or political party activists are allowed to handle mail-in or absentee ballots.

In retrospect one could reason that their plan provided a formula for stealing an election by doing precisely what they proscribed. Perhaps unsurprisingly, Jimmy Carter changed his tune in May of 2020 when he said I urge political leaders across the country to take immediate steps to expand vote-by-mail and other measures that can help protect the core of American democracy – the right of our citizens to vote. The nonagenarian former president now saw this as an expression of the Democratic mantra of all votes count.

Of course, this was issued without any regard or concern for monitoring all phases of this voter expansion. It is no surprise that this added millions of votes to the final tally of 81 million for Biden and 74 million for President Trump. Just how many of these were real people, or living voters, was just one of the major details that got lost in this political shuffle.

Another key player in this was Dominion Voting Systems, an election services company from Canada that was responsible for the technology used to count votes in many of the close battleground states in the last election. Issues have arisen in some of those states, such as Michigan and Georgia, propelling Dominion into the spotlight. It also has headquarters in Denver, Colorado, and is one of three major firms providing voting machines in U.S. elections. One fact that the company will not boast of is their connection to Venezuelan dictators, the late Hugo Chavez and his successor Nicolas Maduro.

Regarding the Dominion software that the leftist media basically ignored, commentator Dan Bongino in his essay, Scenes from a Not so Fair Election, reported that Dominion has a software that it gets from a company called SmartMatics… SmartMatics is a Delaware company, but it’s owned by Venezuelans…Venezuelans who are close to Chavez and Maduro. They actually count the vote… in Barcelona, Spain…They count it and then they give it back to us. Rudy Giuliani learned that SmartMatics has the capacity to change the votes. Bongino also mentions the 6,000-vote flip in Antrim County, Michigan that we’ve heard so much about. Although election officials claim this was an accidental glitch, Giuliani believes otherwise.

Presidential attorney Rudy Giuliani provided some background on SmartMatics. The company was actually established by Chavez. And the whole purpose of it was to steal elections. It’s their expertise. Stealing elections. Bongino also cites The Epoch Times, about a whistleblower who was witness to the creation and operation of a sophisticated electronic voting system that permitted the leaders of the Venezuelan government to manipulate the tabulation of votes for national and local elections and select the winner of those elections in order to gain and maintain their power.

Her affidavit also stated: From that point on, Chavez never lost any election. In fact, he was able to ensure wins for himself, his party, Congress persons and mayors from townships. The whistleblower claimed the software and fundamental design of the electronic electoral system and software of Dominion and other election tabulating companies relies upon software that is a descendant of the Smartmatic Electoral Management System. In short, the Smartmatic software is in the DNA of every vote tabulating company’s software and system… For the record Dominion was used by 28 states in America,

Is it illogical for anyone who still has an ounce of sense and intellectual curiosity to think that just maybe officials in the swing states were trying to duplicate the Venezuelan dictators election success. She also notes that –similar to our election—votes changed dramatically in the middle of the night. Now if there is any semblance of truth that this system can actually do what she said, then this system has to be banned from all future American elections because its very existence threatens the credibility that has been badly shaken in 2020.

Now that the stage is set, it is time for me to try to bring in the cast of hundreds of aberration, inconsistencies, and miraculous or mysterious happenings that more than likely turned a Trump tide into a singular stream for Joe Biden. I have found very few scholars of the depth and ambition for seeking out the truth of just what happened that historic night in November of 2020, more creditable than Reagan biographer, Paul Kengor, a college professor at Grove City College in Pennsylvania.

He wrote a widely read essay about an extraordinary claim made Nov. 25th in Gettysburg at hearings convened by the Pennsylvania Senate Majority Policy Committee. Retired Col. Phil Waldron, a former Army officer in electronic warfare, was called to testify by President Trump’s legal team. Waldron, who specializes in analysis of election-data fraud, talked about spike anomalies and statistical aberrations in voting patterns in Pennsylvania. He showed a chart, documenting a massive dump of votes for Joe Biden, not feasible or mechanically possible under normal circumstances. In just over 90 minutes, Waldron alleged a massive batch of votes registered roughly 570,000 ballots for Biden and only 3,200 for Trump. That would equate to Joe Biden bagging 99.4 percent of that enormous collection of votes. That one store alone could have flipped the state to Biden. It is not surprising the Keystone State suffered from such fraudulent practices since they had already broken many of their own election laws to assist in this heist of a presidency. Kengor was also repeatedly shocked by the fact that he could not find a solitary report of Waldron’s accusations in any of the mainstream media. Only a few conservative publications, dedicated outliers, such as Newsmax TV, in the profession thought to put it before the public eye. He feared that what had surfaced during hearings in Gettysburg, may set the standard for electoral outrageousness in the future.

His election research also found several anomalies in many of the so-called swing states. An update in Wisconsin listed as 3:42 AM Central Time on November 4th, 2020, which shows 143,379 votes for Joe Biden and 25,163 votes for Donald Trump. A similar vote update in Georgia listed at 1:34 AM Eastern Time on November 4th, 2020, which shows 136,155 votes for Joe Biden and 29,115 votes for Donald Trump. Likewise, these incidents could have flipped the respective state into Joe Biden’s win column.

Russell Ramsland of Allied Security Systems, signed an affidavit, detailing the numerous instances of physical improbabilities in the voting tabulations and election results in Michigan. There are a stunning 3,276 precincts where the Presidential Votes Cast compared to the Estimated Voters based on Reported Statistics ranges from 84% to 350%… reveals 431,954 excess ballots. This pattern strongly suggests that the additive algorithm was activated. Until the tabulated voter turnout reached approximately 83%, Trump was generally winning between 55% and 60% of every turnout point.

Then, after the counting was closed at 2:00 AM, the situation dramatically reserved itself, starting with a series of impossible spikes. In the data are 4 spikes totaling 384,733 ballots allegedly processed in a combined interval of only 2 hours and 38 minutes. In addition to these statistical impossibilities, there were hundreds of additional affidavits, sworn under oath to attest to voting malfeasance in virtually all the swing states. Collectively, does all of this suggest that the election was stolen from him in covert machinations behind closed doors? Didn’t this evidence, at least warrant full media attention, if not a full criminal investigation?

What did we get instead? The powers running this country, most of whom never ran for election, provided us with a near universal denial of substantial evidence, which degenerated into the lock-step marching press, which accused all dissent as LIES. On its surface, the media indirectly charged 100s of citizens of having committed perjury. The press went so far as to demonize anyone who even had the effrontery to have voted for Trump. To avoid a public constitutional crisis, the majority of government leaders joined a conspiracy of denial, debunking and ignoring the boatloads of evidence that, if ever given an honest public hearing, could possibly have overturned a stolen election. In an election that touted the slogan of all votes count, over 74,000,000 voters were virtually disenfranchised.

The damage has been done. All this bodes poorly for all future elections in this country, unless some serious election reform is put into law. The Democrats have, in effect, introduced the American public to a sophisticated art of the steal. In the vernacular, fight manager Joe Jacobs, captured the moment best, when he said after his fighter Max Schmeling had lost a close decision to Jack Sharkey in 1932, we wuz robbed!
